Audition Notice
Roxy’s Downtown issues a call for directors, actors, singers and dancers for its 2024/2025 season, including: INTO THE WOODS, ONCE, DRACULA: A COMEDY OF TERRORS, [title of show], CHICAGO, COMPANY, CAFE PUTTANESCA and NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. Submissions for designers are also being accepted for scenic, costume, lighting, sound and property design.
Auditions will be held:
Sunday, January 28, 1-6 p.m.
Monday & Tuesday, January 29 & 30, 5-8 p.m.
All auditions will be held at Roxy’s Downtown, 412 1/2 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67202.
Actors, singers and dancers should complete the Audition Form and email it to artisticdirector@roxysdowntown.com.
Once the audition form has been received, a staff member from Roxy’s Downtown will email you to collect your headshot, resume and to schedule your audition time.
We would ask candidates to:
Prepare two 32-bar cuts in contrasting styles. Selections showcasing folk, contemporary musical theater or classical singing are encouraged.
Prepare a brief monologue of their choosing.

Directing and design candidates should complete the Audition Form as well. Once the audition form has been received, a staff member from Roxy’s Downtown will email you to collect your headshot and resume.
We would ask candidates to:
Provide a brief concept statement with supporting/narrative documentation to support that conceptualization.
Once submissions have been thoroughly reviewed, and interview with potential candidates will be scheduled. At that interview, candidates will be asked to provide additional materials and details about their approach to the production.
